Can we all agree that additional funding to Amtrak would be more money down another governmental black hole?
And speaking of black holes we see millions and millions of dollars “invested “in a lock that will benefit only a few corporations which utilize river transport for bulk material.
Why not invest our money in a bridge between Soddy and Birchwood / Harrison which would reduce an hour drive to 15 minutes connecting the eastern and western parts of our county together and further more offering an alternate route from 75 to Nashville via Hwy. 111.
Is it because it makes too much sense or that it would help those who aren’t the chosen few or connected?
And please don’t try to sell me on a toll bridge.
