The Tunnel to Towers Foundation’s 9/11 Never Forget Mobile Exhibit will be at the Southern California Railway Museum in Perris June 19 and 20.
The mobile exhibit is a tribute those who lost their lives Sept. 11, 2001, including 343 members of the Fire Department of New York City.
The mobile museum is an 83-foot tractor-trailer that transforms into a 1,100-square-foot exhibit, with artifacts such as steel beams from the World Trade Center towers, plus documentary videos, recordings of first-responder radio transmissions and interactive guided tours.
The 9/11 Never Forget Mobile Exhibit, launched in 2013, has traveled to nearly 50 states and to Canada, and more than 500,000 people have visited it, according to a news release.
The mobile museum’s visit to the Southern California Railway Museum begins Friday, June 18, with an invitation-only event for first responders and veterans, hosted by Honoring USA Heroes.
The exhibit is open to the public 9 a.m.-4 p.m. June 19 and 20. Tickets are $25 for adults, $10 for children ages 5 to 12 and free for children younger than 5 and for first responders and active and retired military personnel. A portion of every ticket purchase will go to support the Tunnel to Towers Foundation and Honoring USA Heroes.
The Southern California Railway Museum is at 2201 S. A St., Perris. For information and tickets, go to socalrailway.org/scrm-events/911-never-forget/.
